Puntuación

A design-contest marketplace with a unique crowdsourced model that generates multiple options per brief. The contest mechanic is genuinely differentiating, but the page positions it as a generic design marketplace instead of selling the "see dozens of concepts before you commit" advantage.

Problema de mayor impacto

99designs' structural edge is the contest format — post a brief, receive multiple designs from competing designers, pick the winner. That "shop from options, not from portfolios" model eliminates the single-designer risk that plagues direct hiring. The hero should name this mechanic explicitly instead of defaulting to "find a designer."

Landing Doctors pointed out a few issues we had overlooked, especially around messaging structure. Not every recommendation fit our brand, but the report was still helpful and easy to apply.

I thought the analysis was helpful, I applied what was suggested and have seen better results. I suggest providing 1 complimentary followup analysis included in your package. A before and after analysis would be quite helpful, and conv…

Lo que esta página hace bien

3 aciertos
Contest model genuinely differentiates from one-to-one freelance hiring — multiple concepts reduce creative risk.
Category pages organized by design type (logo, packaging, web) match the buyer's mental model of what they need.
Portfolio galleries with style filters let visual buyers evaluate taste before engaging.

Antes
(generic design-marketplace hero — "get a design you'll love" pattern without naming the contest mechanic)
Problema

Positioning as another design marketplace puts 99designs in competition with Fiverr, Dribbble, and direct freelance outreach — all of which have larger talent pools. The contest model is the differentiator, but a visitor who doesn't understand contests has no reason to choose this platform over cheaper alternatives.

Reescritura
Post your brief, receive dozens of design concepts from competing designers, pick your favorite. Pay only for the design you choose.
Por qué funciona

Names the mechanic (contest), the volume (dozens of concepts), the safety (pay only for the winner), and the differentiator (competing designers). This is something Fiverr and Upwork structurally cannot offer.

Hallazgo #02objecionesAlto impacto
Antes
(contest pricing visible but spec-work ethics concern unaddressed)
Problema

The design community has long debated whether contests constitute spec work — free labor from losing designers. Savvy buyers who have read this criticism hesitate to use 99designs because they feel ethically uncomfortable. The page doesn't acknowledge or reframe this concern.

Reescritura
Address it directly: "Designers choose to enter contests they're excited about. Winners earn the full prize; non-winners build their portfolio with real client briefs. Over $300M paid to designers to date."
Por qué funciona

Naming the objection and reframing it (opt-in participation, portfolio value, cumulative payouts) neutralizes the ethical hesitation. Ignoring the concern lets the critic's framing win by default.

Hallazgo #03prueba socialMedio
Antes
(design examples shown without client outcome context)
Problema

Showing finished designs without the brief-to-result story misses the proof that matters most: "this business posted a brief, got 80 concepts, and picked a winner in 7 days." The process proof is what sells the model; the portfolio just shows pretty pictures.

Reescritura
Add contest case studies: "Acme Co received 92 logo concepts in 7 days. They picked this one — and launched the next week. See the full contest."
Por qué funciona

Process case studies demonstrate the volume, speed, and quality of the contest model. A single finished logo proves a designer is good; a contest story proves the platform is valuable.

No. Estos teardowns analizan páginas de marketing públicas — del mismo modo que cualquier crítico analizaría un libro publicado. Usamos solo lo que es públicamente accesible en la URL en vivo.
