Puntuación

A globally recognized payments brand with unmatched consumer trust. The homepage serves two distinct audiences (consumers and merchants) from one hero, creating a split-attention problem that weakens conversion for both.

Ver metodología →
Problema de mayor impacto

PayPal's homepage must serve the consumer checking their balance and the merchant evaluating payment acceptance — two fundamentally different visitors with different intent. The hero compromises for both and convinces neither. A merchant comparing PayPal to Stripe sees consumer-facing messaging; a consumer sees merchant features. The dual-audience page dilutes both conversion paths.

Landing Doctor delivers as promised, and more! I don't often leave 5 star reviews, but this one is truly deserved. The report came through fast and it is an almost clinical assessment with clear steps on how to fix issues. So far, this…

Lo que esta página hace bien

3 aciertos
Brand trust is unmatched in consumer payments — the PayPal button is a trust signal that increases checkout conversion for merchants who display it.
Buyer protection messaging is clear and prominent — addresses the consumer's core concern about online payment safety.
Global reach with 200+ markets and 25 currencies is a genuine differentiator for cross-border sellers.

Cada hallazgo cita el copy en vivo en el momento de la auditoría, identifica el problema de conversión, propone una reescritura concreta y explica por qué esa reescritura funciona contra el framework de 12 dimensiones.

Hallazgo #01claridadAlto impacto
Antes
(dual-audience hero serving consumers and merchants from one page)
Problema

A consumer who wants to send money to a friend and a merchant evaluating PayPal checkout for their store land on the same hero. The messaging tries to serve both with a broad "move money" frame that is too vague for either audience. The consumer needs "send and receive money"; the merchant needs "accept payments and increase checkout conversion."

Reescritura
Split the entry: a clear audience toggle or two distinct CTAs — "Send money" (personal) and "Accept payments" (business) — with the hero copy adapting to the selected path.
Por qué funciona

Audience-specific entry points eliminate the "is this for me?" hesitation. Each visitor self-selects in one click and sees messaging written for their intent, not a compromise for both.

Hallazgo #02propuesta de valorAlto impacto
Antes
(broad "digital payments" positioning without naming the specific merchant advantage)
Problema

For merchants, PayPal's strongest argument is not "accept payments" — every processor does that. It is "your customers already have PayPal accounts, and showing the PayPal button increases their trust at checkout." That conversion-lift story is the merchant value prop, and the hero does not tell it.

Reescritura
For the merchant path: "Your customers already trust PayPal. Add the button — increase checkout conversion from day one."
Por qué funciona

Names the merchant's real advantage (customer pre-trust), ties it to a measurable outcome (checkout conversion), and positions PayPal as a trust layer rather than just a payment rail. This is the argument that wins against Stripe in the SMB segment.

Hallazgo #03ofertaMedio
Antes
(merchant pricing structure not visible until deep in the business section)
Problema

A merchant comparing PayPal to Square or Stripe wants to see the transaction rate immediately. Burying it behind multiple clicks creates the assumption that PayPal is more expensive or that pricing is opaque — neither of which helps conversion.

Reescritura
Surface merchant pricing early: "3.49% + 49c standard, or 2.59% + 49c with PayPal checkout integration. No monthly fee."
Por qué funciona

Visible pricing pre-qualifies merchants. Those who find the rate acceptable proceed with confidence; those who do not save both parties time. Either outcome is better than a bounce from pricing anxiety.
