Puntuación

A genuinely free accounting and invoicing tool for micro-businesses. The "free" claim is the strongest conversion argument in the category, but the page says it without explaining how the business sustains itself — creating more skepticism than trust.

Ver metodología →
Problema de mayor impacto

Wave's business model is transparent (it earns on payment processing and payroll add-ons, not on the accounting core), but the page does not explain that. "Free" in a financial tool triggers "what's the catch?" harder than in any other category, because the stakes involve real money and real tax filings. The missing explanation costs more signups than it saves in copy space.

Fundadores reales, ajustes reales
Landing Doctors identified a few weak sections we had ignored for months. The structural feedback was sharp — exactly the outside perspective we were missing.

Lo que esta página hace bien

3 aciertos
Genuinely free invoicing and accounting with no feature gates — a rare and defensible position in the category.
Designed specifically for businesses with fewer than 10 employees — the focus avoids the feature bloat of tools trying to serve enterprises.
Receipt scanning via mobile app addresses the shoebox-of-receipts pain point that micro-business owners live with.

Antes → problema → ajuste → por qué

Cada hallazgo cita el copy en vivo en el momento de la auditoría, identifica el problema de conversión, propone una reescritura concreta y explica por qué esa reescritura funciona contra el framework de 12 dimensiones.

Hallazgo #01confianzaCrítico
Antes
(free-forever accounting claim without business-model explanation)
Problema

A business owner being told "free accounting software" for managing their actual finances assumes either: the product is low quality, the company will fold, or there are hidden upsells that will hit at tax time. Without explaining the revenue model, the strongest selling point becomes the biggest trust barrier.

Reescritura
Explain the model on the page: "Accounting and invoicing are free — forever. We earn when you use optional paid features like payment processing (2.9% + 30c) and payroll. No surprise upgrades, no feature walls."
Por qué funciona

Business-model transparency converts suspicion into trust. The visitor understands Wave earns only when they choose to use paid add-ons — aligned incentives, not a trap.

Hallazgo #02propuesta de valorAlto impacto
Antes
(generic "free accounting software" hero without naming the specific owner it serves)
Problema

Free is the hook, but the page does not name who should use Wave versus who should use QuickBooks. A 50-employee company trying Wave will churn in a week — and their negative review hurts the brand. The page needs to attract the right user, not every user.

Reescritura
Free accounting for businesses that are still doing the books themselves. No employees? No CFO? No problem — Wave handles invoicing, expenses, and taxes without the price tag.
Por qué funciona

Naming the audience (owner-operators doing their own books) filters in the right user and filters out the wrong one. The result is higher activation, lower churn, and reviews from people the product was built to serve.

Hallazgo #03prueba socialMedio
Antes
(user count without segment or outcome context)
Problema

A user count for a free product is less impressive than for a paid one — the visitor assumes most signups are tire-kickers. Without connecting the count to real usage (invoices sent, payments processed), the number does not build meaningful trust.

Reescritura
Add outcome-based proof: "Over 2M businesses use Wave. More than $24B invoiced through the platform — and the accounting is still free."
Por qué funciona

Invoice volume proves real usage, not just signups. The juxtaposition of a large dollar figure with "still free" reinforces the value proposition and answers the skeptic's "but do real businesses actually use this?"
