48/100
Score

A business banking and lending platform offering interest-bearing checking and lines of credit. The page splits attention between two distinct products (banking and lending) without guiding the visitor to the one they need, creating a decision burden at the hero level.

Highest-impact issue

Bluevine's standout feature is interest on business checking balances — a rarity in business banking where most accounts pay zero. That "your idle cash earns money" argument is the single sharpest differentiator against every traditional bank and most neobanks, but the hero divides attention between banking and credit products, diluting the strongest pitch.

Real founders, real fixes
We thought our landing page already looked modern, but Landing Doctors showed us why users still didn't trust it. Their recommendations were extremely actionable and focused on conversions, not just design. The CTA restructuring alone…

The feedback was clear and practical. We didn't use every suggestion, but a few small changes improved the overall flow of the landing page and made it feel more organized.

What this page does well

3 strengths
Interest-bearing business checking is a genuine, quantifiable advantage — most business accounts pay nothing on deposits.
Line of credit up to $250K with transparent qualification criteria serves a real cash-flow need for growing businesses.
FDIC insurance through Coastal Community Bank is stated, addressing the neobank safety concern.

Findings (3)

Was → problem → fix → why

Each finding cites the live copy at audit time, names the conversion problem, proposes a specific rewrite, and explains why the rewrite works against the 12-dimension framework.

Finding #01clarityCritical
Was
(split hero promoting both banking and lending products without visitor-intent routing)
Problem

A business owner looking for a checking account and one looking for a line of credit have entirely different evaluation criteria, urgency levels, and trust thresholds. Presenting both products with equal weight forces each visitor to filter out the irrelevant half of the page. The cognitive load reduces conversion for both segments.

Fix
Lead with the banking wedge: "Business checking that pays you interest. Earn on every dollar sitting in your account — while other banks pay you nothing." Add a secondary path: "Need working capital? See lines of credit."
Why this works

The interest-bearing checking account is the higher-volume, lower-friction entry point. Leading with it captures the largest audience segment (owners who need a bank account) and routes the credit seekers via a clear secondary path.

Finding #02proofHigh-impact
Was
(interest rate mentioned without comparison to industry benchmarks)
Problem

Stating an interest rate without context does not communicate value. A business owner who has never earned interest on a checking account does not know whether Bluevine's rate is competitive. The number is meaningless without a comparison frame.

Fix
Add a comparison: "Most business checking accounts pay 0% interest. Bluevine pays up to 2.0% — so $100K in your account earns $2,000/year instead of nothing."
Why this works

A concrete dollar example ($100K earning $2,000) makes the abstract interest rate tangible. The zero-comparison ("instead of nothing") highlights the opportunity cost of staying with a traditional bank.

Finding #03page speedMedium
Was
(heavy hero section with animated elements and multiple product carousels)
Problem

Financial products require fast, stable page loads because the visitor is already skeptical of a non-traditional bank. A slow hero with layout shifts signals instability — the opposite of what a banking page should communicate. Every animation that delays the first contentful paint costs trust in a category where trust is the primary conversion driver.

Fix
Strip hero animations, lazy-load product carousels below the fold, and ensure the primary CTA renders in the first paint. Target sub-1.5s LCP on mobile.
Why this works

Speed is a trust signal for financial products. A page that loads instantly communicates reliability; one that shifts and stutters communicates exactly the kind of instability a business owner fears from a digital-first bank.
