Freshworks

Independent productivity landing-page teardown using our public 12-dimension framework. Apply the findings to your own page in under 30 minutes.

IndependentNot affiliated·Public methodology
57/100
Score

A multi-product suite (support, CRM, ITSM, HR) that leads with breadth instead of depth. The homepage tries to sell four products simultaneously, leaving no single buyer segment feeling the page was written for them.

Highest-impact issue

Freshworks' strongest wedge is Freshdesk — the affordable Zendesk alternative with faster onboarding and transparent pricing. But the homepage positions the company as "the Freshworks platform" and buries Freshdesk behind a product menu. The visitor comparing support tools bounces because they landed on a corporate umbrella page, not a product page.

Real founders, real fixes
Not everything applied to our business, but several recommendations were genuinely helpful. Would have liked more fitness-specific examples.

Small changes, but the website feels more trustworthy now. The trust-signal section they suggested adding really helps with first-time visitors.

What this page does well

3 strengths
Transparent per-agent pricing across all products — genuinely undercuts Zendesk and Salesforce.
Free tiers on Freshdesk and Freshsales remove evaluation friction for SMB teams.
AI feature (Freddy) is bundled into existing plans rather than sold as a premium add-on.

Findings (3)

Was → problem → fix → why

Each finding cites the live copy at audit time, names the conversion problem, proposes a specific rewrite, and explains why the rewrite works against the 12-dimension framework.

Finding #01clarityCritical
Was
(multi-product umbrella hero — "one platform for every team" pattern)
Problem

A visitor who searched "Zendesk alternative" or "help desk software" lands on a page pitching CRM, ITSM, and HR alongside support. They cannot confirm in 5 seconds that Freshworks sells the product they need. Multi-product heroes convert existing customers exploring the suite; they repel cold evaluators looking for one tool.

Fix
Route by intent: the homepage hero should ask "What are you solving?" with three clear paths — Support, Sales, IT — each leading to a product-specific hero within one click.
Why this works

Intent-routing replaces the umbrella pitch with self-segmentation. Each visitor reaches a product page that speaks their language within one click instead of parsing a corporate overview.

Finding #02trustHigh-impact
Was
(customer count cited without segment breakdown or recognizable logos)
Problem

Citing a total customer count across all products inflates the number but dilutes trust for any single product. A support buyer wants to know how many companies use Freshdesk, not how many use "Freshworks." Aggregated stats raise the question: are most of those free-tier CRM signups?

Fix
Segment the proof: "Freshdesk: 60,000+ support teams. Freshsales: 40,000+ sales teams." — with logos from each segment.
Why this works

Product-specific counts are more credible than corporate aggregates because they answer the buyer's actual question: do people like me use this specific tool?

Finding #03CTAMedium
Was
(single generic "Get started" CTA on a multi-product homepage)
Problem

A single CTA on a multi-product page forces the visitor to figure out which product they're starting with after the click. The post-click confusion creates drop-off at the exact moment of highest intent.

Fix
Replace with product-specific CTAs: "Try Freshdesk free" / "Try Freshsales free" — visible on the homepage as separate paths.
Why this works

Product-specific CTAs self-segment the audience at click time, reducing post-click confusion and increasing activation rates for each product line.
