Score

Alibaba-backed SEA marketplace with strong logistics infrastructure, but the landing page reads like a category portal rather than a shopping destination — no product, no price, no reason to click deeper.

See methodology →
Highest-impact issue

Lazada's moat is its warehouse and last-mile network powered by Alibaba's Cainiao logistics. That operational advantage — faster delivery in markets where 7-14 day waits are normal — belongs in the hero. Instead, the page leads with seasonal campaign banners that rotate too fast to read.

Real founders, real fixes
Too soon at this writing to know the impact on sales but all the recommendations made sense and the follow up feedback recommended was prompt, careful and very helpful. Would recommend highly.
Charles
I honestly expected another generic website audit, but Landing Doctors gave us clear explanations and actionable fixes. After updating the hero section and improving the offer clarity, inquiries started increasing within days.

What this page does well

3 strengths
LazMall verified-seller badge program addresses the counterfeit concern that plagues SEA e-commerce.
Cash-on-delivery option is visible in the checkout flow — critical for markets with low credit-card penetration.
Multi-language support per market reduces friction for non-English-speaking buyers.

Findings (3)

Was → problem → fix → why

Each finding cites the live copy at audit time, names the conversion problem, proposes a specific rewrite, and explains why the rewrite works against the 12-dimension framework.

Finding #01trustCritical
Was
(rotating promotional banners as hero — no persistent trust signal or delivery promise)
Problem

SEA shoppers distrust online marketplaces because of counterfeit goods and unreliable delivery. A carousel of sale banners does nothing to address either concern. The visitor sees promotions before they see proof that orders actually arrive.

Fix
Pin a trust bar above the carousel: "LazMall: 100% authentic brands. Free returns within 15 days. Delivered in 3-5 days via Lazada Express."
Why this works

A persistent trust bar addresses the two biggest regional objections (fake goods + slow delivery) before the visitor processes any promotional content. Trust must precede transaction intent in low-trust markets.

Finding #02clarityHigh-impact
Was
(category-portal layout — grid of department icons without hierarchy or recommendation)
Problem

A flat grid of 20+ department icons gives every category equal weight, forcing the visitor to self-navigate from zero context. No personalization, no trending products, no editorial curation. The page functions as a file directory, not a store.

Fix
Replace the icon grid with a curated "trending now" product row showing the top 8 items with prices, star ratings, and delivery estimates. Keep categories in a collapsible side nav.
Why this works

Showing products with prices immediately activates shopping intent. Category grids activate navigation intent — a lower-conversion mental mode that increases bounce.

Finding #03social proofMedium
Was
(seller count and product count cited without buyer-satisfaction context)
Problem

Large product counts ("200M+ products") amplify the counterfeit concern rather than resolving it in a market where more products often means more fakes. Volume without quality signals works against the platform.

Fix
Shift from volume to satisfaction: "12M orders delivered this week. 4.6/5 average seller rating across LazMall."
Why this works

Order velocity and seller ratings communicate that real people buy and receive real products. Volume-of-listings metrics communicate catalogue size, which is not what anxious first-time buyers need to hear.
