64/100
Score

Strong brand, vague hero. The new "AI workspace" + metaphor framing buries the core all-in-one value prop that built Notion.

See methodology →
Highest-impact issue

The current hero ("Meet the night shift.") demands a metaphor translation before a cold visitor understands what to buy. The 5-second test fails — visitors leave before grasping what Notion now sells.

Real founders, real fixes
We wanted the website to feel more trustworthy and easier to understand for first-time visitors. Landing Doctors identified exactly where people were dropping off and gave us simple improvements that made a surprisingly big impact.
Natalie Moore

We improved a few headlines and reorganized sections. The page feels more focused now and visitors actually read past the hero section.

What this page does well

3 strengths
Strong, recognizable brand — visitors who arrive via referral need less hero work.
Trust signals: customer logos and case study links visible without scrolling far.
Clear pricing tier comparison further down the page (after the hero issue is corrected by scroll depth).

Findings (3)

Was → problem → fix → why

Each finding cites the live copy at audit time, names the conversion problem, proposes a specific rewrite, and explains why the rewrite works against the 12-dimension framework.

Finding #01clarityCritical
Was
Meet the night shift.
Problem

A metaphor is not a value prop. "Night shift" requires the visitor to infer that AI agents now work for them while they sleep. Visitors who don't already know Notion bounce because nothing in the first viewport names the product, the buyer, or the outcome. Brand pages can survive metaphors; conversion pages can't.

Fix
Notion AI agents finish your work overnight — drafts, emails, reports waiting Monday morning.
Why this works

Names the product (AI agents), the work (drafts, emails, reports), the time element (overnight), and the buyer experience (waiting Monday morning). The metaphor "night shift" survives as flavor but no longer carries the meaning alone.

Finding #02value propHigh-impact
Was
The AI workspace that works for you. (page title)
Problem

Workspace + AI is the entire product category in 2026. Every Notion competitor (Coda, ClickUp, Anytype, Capacities) makes the same claim. Differentiation is collapsed to zero.

Fix
The workspace where docs, projects, and AI agents share one database — no integrations, no sync.
Why this works

Names the differentiator: one database underneath everything. That is the actual moat versus competitors that bolt AI onto separate doc/project tools. Visitors evaluating tradeoffs now have something to compare.

Finding #03CTAMedium
Was
(primary CTA reads "Get Notion free" — generic free-tier framing)
Problem

"Get Notion free" is a noun action. It works for visitors already sold; for evaluators it sounds like a freemium trap.

Fix
Start your first AI agent — free
Why this works

Names the specific high-value action (starting an AI agent — the new positioning), keeps the free anchor, and reduces commitment anxiety. Aligned with the corrected hero.

No. We have no affiliation with Notion and were not paid by anyone. This is independent third-party commentary based on the public landing page at audit time.
Did you contact Notion before publishing?
No. These teardowns analyze public marketing pages — the same way any reviewer would analyze a published book. We use only what is publicly accessible on the live URL.
Will my own audit look like this?
Yes — same 12-dimension framework, same finding format (was → problem → fix → why). Your report is private to you and based on your live page copy.
