61/100
Score

Russia's largest pure e-commerce marketplace with strong logistics reach into regions where competitors struggle, but the homepage reads as a dense product catalogue rather than a platform with a delivery and fintech story to tell.

Highest-impact issue

Ozon's network of 45,000+ pickup points (PVZ) across Russia — including towns Amazon and AliExpress cannot serve — is an infrastructure moat that belongs in the hero. Delivery reach in a country spanning 11 time zones is the competitive argument, not another product carousel.

Real founders, real fixes
Landing Doctor delivers as promised, and more! I don't often leave 5 star reviews, but this one is truly deserved. The report came through fast and it is an almost clinical assessment with clear steps on how to fix issues. So far, this…

What this page does well

3 strengths
Ozon Premium subscription bundles free delivery, cashback, and Ozon Bank perks into a retention flywheel.
Pickup-point density in Russian regions where postal delivery is unreliable solves a real last-mile problem.
Ozon Fresh and Ozon Travel extend the platform into daily-use categories beyond traditional e-commerce.

Findings (3)

Was → problem → fix → why

Each finding cites the live copy at audit time, names the conversion problem, proposes a specific rewrite, and explains why the rewrite works against the 12-dimension framework.

Finding #01clarityHigh-impact
Was
(dense product-catalogue hero — no platform-level value proposition visible)
Problem

The homepage is a wall of product tiles without a single line explaining why a visitor should buy from Ozon rather than Wildberries, Yandex Market, or AliExpress. Every marketplace shows products; none of them shows products as a differentiator. The platform story is missing.

Fix
Add a hero line above the product grid: "45 000+ punktov vydachi po vsey Rossii. Dostavka ot 1 dnya. Premium — besplatnaya dostavka i keshbek."
Why this works

Naming the pickup-point network size and delivery speed communicates the infrastructure advantage that product tiles cannot. Russian shoppers in regions with unreliable postal service immediately see that Ozon reaches them.

Finding #02offer specificityHigh-impact
Was
(Ozon Premium benefits buried in a dedicated subscription page, not surfaced on homepage)
Problem

Ozon Premium bundles free delivery, cashback, and Ozon Bank discounts — a compelling value stack for frequent buyers. But first-time visitors see only standard pricing with delivery fees, making Ozon look more expensive than Wildberries, which includes delivery in the product price.

Fix
Surface Premium in the hero: "Ozon Premium: besplatnaya dostavka + keshbek do 25% + Ozon Bank. Ot 199 rub/mes."
Why this works

Showing the subscription price alongside its benefits lets the visitor calculate ROI immediately. Hiding the membership means competing on per-order delivery fees — a fight Wildberries wins by default.

Finding #03page speedMedium
Was
(homepage loads heavy promotional banner carousels and auto-play elements above the fold)
Problem

Russian internet speeds vary dramatically by region. Heavy carousel assets and auto-play content penalize visitors on 3G/4G connections outside Moscow and St. Petersburg — exactly the regional audience Ozon's pickup-point network is designed to serve.

Fix
Lazy-load carousels below the fold. Serve a static hero image with text overlay for the first viewport. Compress promotional assets to WebP under 100KB.
Why this works

Faster load on low-bandwidth connections directly increases conversion in the regional markets where Ozon's logistics advantage matters most. Optimizing for Moscow broadband while losing Novosibirsk 4G visitors is a misallocation.
