48/100
Score

Solid recording technology undermined by a hero that tries to be everything — podcast recorder, video editor, AI clipper, transcription tool. The page converts podcast veterans who already know Riverside but loses the much larger audience evaluating their first remote-recording setup.

See methodology →
Highest-impact issue

Riverside's hero tries to sell five products at once (recording, editing, clipping, transcription, distribution). A visitor in 5 seconds can't name the one thing Riverside does better than Zoom + Descript. Feature sprawl is killing the conversion of cold traffic.

Real founders, real fixes
We followed the Landing Doctors recommendations before relaunching ads and the difference was obvious. Better messaging, stronger CTA placement, and less visual clutter made the page convert much more effectively.

What this page does well

3 strengths
Local recording technology (each participant records locally) is a genuine quality differentiator vs. Zoom recordings.
AI clip generation from long-form content addresses the #1 creator pain point in 2026.
Recognizable podcast/creator logos in the social proof section.

Findings (3)

Was → problem → fix → why

Each finding cites the live copy at audit time, names the conversion problem, proposes a specific rewrite, and explains why the rewrite works against the 12-dimension framework.

Finding #01clarityCritical
Was
(unknown current hero — generic creator-tools pattern)
Problem

The hero headline attempts to cover recording + editing + AI clipping + transcription in one sentence. The result is a value proposition so broad that it's indistinguishable from the category. A cold visitor cannot finish the sentence "Riverside is the best tool for ___" after 5 seconds on the page.

Fix
Riverside records studio-quality video remotely — so your podcast sounds like you were in the same room.
Why this works

Pins the value on the single strongest differentiator (remote recording quality), names the buyer (podcaster), and uses a sensory comparison ("same room") that the visitor can feel. Everything else (editing, clipping) becomes supporting evidence, not the headline.

Finding #02value propHigh-impact
Was
(page tries to serve podcasters, video creators, marketers, and enterprises simultaneously)
Problem

Four audiences means four competing messages. The podcaster sees video editing features they don't need. The marketer sees podcast-specific language that doesn't apply. Neither converts because neither feels "this is for me."

Fix
Create audience-specific entry paths: "For Podcasters" | "For Video Creators" | "For Marketing Teams" — each with a tailored hero and CTA.
Why this works

Audience segmentation at the entry point lets each visitor see only the features and proof relevant to their use case. Conversion rates for segmented landing pages are 2-3x higher than one-size-fits-all pages in multi-audience products.

Finding #03page speedHigh-impact
Was
(heavy hero with auto-playing video and multiple animated UI elements)
Problem

The hero loads a video preview, animated product screenshots, and multiple JS-heavy interaction elements. On mobile or slower connections, the LCP exceeds 3 seconds. Creator-tools buyers are often on laptops in coffee shops — not datacenter-quality connections.

Fix
Replace the auto-playing hero video with a static thumbnail + play button. Lazy-load all product screenshots below the fold.
Why this works

A 3s+ LCP costs roughly 7% of conversions per additional second. A static thumbnail with a play button gives the same "see the product" promise without the bandwidth cost. Visitors who want the video will click; the rest get a fast hero.
