SiteGround

Independent infrastructure landing-page teardown using our public 12-dimension framework. Apply the findings to your own page in under 30 minutes.

IndependentNot affiliated·Public methodology
62/100
Score

A managed WordPress host with genuinely strong support reputation and custom caching infrastructure. The page leads with spec-sheet features (SSD, CDN, staging) instead of the two things that actually differentiate SiteGround: support quality and page-load speed.

Highest-impact issue

SiteGround's customer support is consistently rated among the best in shared hosting — real humans, fast response, technical depth. That support story is the conversion argument for non-technical site owners, but the hero buries it under infrastructure specs that the target audience cannot evaluate.

Real founders, real fixes
We followed the Landing Doctors recommendations before relaunching ads and the difference was obvious. Better messaging, stronger CTA placement, and less visual clutter made the page convert much more effectively.

The report was short and practical. The CTA advice was probably the most useful part — rewrote the button copy and inquiries went up the same week.

What this page does well

3 strengths
Support reputation is genuine and verifiable across Trustpilot, G2, and hosting forums.
Custom SuperCacher and server-level optimization deliver measurable speed gains.
Free site migration service removes the switching-cost objection for hosted WordPress sites.

Findings (3)

Was → problem → fix → why

Each finding cites the live copy at audit time, names the conversion problem, proposes a specific rewrite, and explains why the rewrite works against the 12-dimension framework.

Finding #01value propCritical
Was
(spec-sheet hero — SSD storage, free CDN, staging environments listed as primary differentiators)
Problem

SSD, CDN, and staging are table-stakes features that every host from Bluehost to Kinsta now offers. Leading with commodity specs puts SiteGround in a feature-comparison race it cannot win against cheaper hosts offering identical bullet points. The actual differentiator — support quality and custom caching — gets the same visual weight as free SSL.

Fix
The host where support actually answers. Fast sites, real humans, problems solved in minutes — not tickets.
Why this works

Names the emotional differentiator (support that actually answers) and contrasts it with the category pain (ticket queues). Non-technical site owners choose hosting based on "who helps me when it breaks," not SSD specs they cannot evaluate.

Finding #02proofHigh-impact
Was
(uptime and speed claims without public monitoring data or third-party benchmarks)
Problem

Claiming fast servers without linking to public speed tests or third-party monitoring dashboards is an unfalsifiable assertion. Every host claims speed; none of the claims differentiate because none are verifiable from the landing page.

Fix
Link to a public status page with historical uptime data and embed a real-time speed benchmark: "Average TTFB: 285ms. See our live status page."
Why this works

A public, falsifiable speed metric converts the "we're fast" commodity claim into verifiable proof. Visitors who see real numbers trust them more than adjectives.

Finding #03objectionsMedium
Was
(renewal pricing gap not addressed until deep in the checkout flow)
Problem

SiteGround's renewal prices are significantly higher than intro rates — a common pattern in the category. Not addressing this proactively means visitors discover it during checkout research (comparison sites, Reddit threads) and feel deceived, even though SiteGround's renewal rates are competitive for managed hosting.

Fix
Frame renewals honestly: "Intro rate for your first term. Renewal reflects managed hosting with premium support — see the full pricing breakdown."
Why this works

Acknowledging the renewal gap and framing it as the cost of managed service (not a hidden markup) turns a potential objection into a value argument. Transparency retains the visitors who would otherwise churn at renewal.

No. We have no affiliation with SiteGround and were not paid by anyone. This is independent third-party commentary based on the public landing page at audit time.
Did you contact SiteGround before publishing?
