IndependentNot affiliated·Public methodology
62/100
Score

A block-based website builder with genuinely superior design quality for long-form pages. Popular in the European and Russian-speaking markets, but the English-language page undersells the design-system depth that is Tilda's actual moat.

See methodology →
Highest-impact issue

Tilda's block library (550+ pre-designed blocks) is the deepest in the category and follows real design-system principles — consistent spacing, typography scales, and animation presets. For marketers building long-form landing pages, that means professional-quality pages without hiring a designer. That "designer-quality pages from pre-built blocks" promise is the headline — but the page leads with a generic "create a website" frame that every competitor uses.

Real founders, real fixes
Landing Doctors identified a few weak sections we had ignored for months. The structural feedback was sharp — exactly the outside perspective we were missing.

It didn't do much. No change in before and after test. Maybe it take more time maybe it doesn't matter. But I gave it a try anyway..

What this page does well

3 strengths
Block-based editor with 550+ designed blocks produces consistently high-quality layouts.
Zero-code animation and interaction presets rival custom development work.
Built-in CRM, forms, and email tools cover the full landing-page-to-lead workflow.

Findings (3)

Was → problem → fix → why

Each finding cites the live copy at audit time, names the conversion problem, proposes a specific rewrite, and explains why the rewrite works against the 12-dimension framework.

Finding #01value propHigh-impact
Was
(generic "create a website" hero without naming the block-system design advantage)
Problem

Leading with "create a website for free" puts Tilda in a fight against Wix (bigger), Squarespace (prettier brand), and WordPress (more flexible) — a fight where Tilda's actual strength (design-system-quality blocks for landing pages) goes completely unnamed.

Fix
Build landing pages that look like a design team made them. 550+ pre-designed blocks — just arrange, customize, and publish.
Why this works

Naming the block depth and the "design team" outcome positions Tilda in the landing-page niche where it has a genuine advantage, rather than the generic website-builder category where it has none.

Finding #02clarityHigh-impact
Was
(English-language page with translation artifacts and inconsistent terminology)
Problem

Tilda's primary market is Russian-speaking, and the English page occasionally reads as translated rather than native. Inconsistent terminology (blocks vs sections vs modules), awkward phrasing, and mixed formatting signals erode credibility with English-speaking visitors who expect Squarespace-level copywriting.

Fix
Invest in native English copy for the top-of-funnel pages. Consistent terminology ("blocks" everywhere), natural phrasing, and polished microcopy. The design quality is high — the copy should match.
Why this works

Copy quality is a trust proxy. When the product looks beautiful but the copy reads rough, visitors assume the company does not prioritize their market — and choose a competitor that does.

Finding #03objectionsMedium
Was
(no visible migration path or export capability mentioned in the evaluation flow)
Problem

Tilda is less known in English-speaking markets than Wix or Squarespace, which means the platform-risk objection ("what if I need to leave?") is stronger. Without visible export or migration options, the risk-averse buyer eliminates Tilda before evaluating its strengths.

Fix
Surface the exit path: "Export your site as static HTML anytime. Your designs, your content, no lock-in." Even if migration is imperfect, naming it reduces the perceived risk to a manageable level.
Why this works

Acknowledging exit capability paradoxically increases adoption. The visitor who fears lock-in needs to hear "you can leave" before they are willing to commit — especially with a less-known platform.
