Score

Turkey's dominant fashion-first marketplace with strong local brand partnerships, but the landing page prioritizes discount campaigns over the fast-delivery and authenticity messaging that would differentiate it from AliExpress and Shein for Turkish shoppers.

See methodology →
Highest-impact issue

Trendyol's same-day and next-day delivery in major Turkish cities — powered by its own logistics arm, Trendyol Express — is a speed advantage that imported goods from Shein and AliExpress cannot match. That "buy today, wear tonight" promise is the hero headline Trendyol does not write.

Real founders, real fixes
The audit gave us a clearer structure for the homepage. Helpful overall — not every suggestion fit our brand voice, but most did.

What this page does well

3 strengths
Trendyol Express logistics arm delivers same-day in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir — genuinely faster than competitors.
Deep integration with Turkish brands and local designers creates a domestic-fashion identity AliExpress cannot replicate.
Trendyol Go (food and grocery delivery) extends the platform into daily-use categories.

Findings (3)

Was → problem → fix → why

Each finding cites the live copy at audit time, names the conversion problem, proposes a specific rewrite, and explains why the rewrite works against the 12-dimension framework.

Finding #01value propHigh-impact
Was
(discount-campaign hero — seasonal sale banners without delivery or authenticity messaging)
Problem

The homepage leads with "up to X% off" banners that are structurally identical to AliExpress and Shein sale pages. When the hero copy is interchangeable with the competitor's, the visitor has no reason to prefer Trendyol — especially when the competitor's prices are lower.

Fix
Lead with the local advantage: "Turkish brands. Same-day delivery in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir. Authentic products — no fakes, no 30-day waits."
Why this works

Naming domestic brands, same-day speed, and authenticity directly attacks the three weaknesses of imported-goods competitors (unknown brands, slow shipping, counterfeit risk). Price-led messaging surrenders the fight to whoever is cheapest.

Finding #02trustHigh-impact
Was
(brand partnership badges exist on product pages but not aggregated on homepage)
Problem

Turkish shoppers who have been burned by counterfeit goods on cross-border platforms need to see brand authentication before they browse. Trendyol has direct partnerships with major Turkish and international brands, but this trust infrastructure is invisible until the visitor is already deep in a category.

Fix
Add a brand-partner strip to the homepage: "Resmi yetkili satici: Koton, LC Waikiki, Mavi, Nike, adidas + 5,000 marka."
Why this works

Showing authorized-seller status for recognizable brands on the homepage converts the brand-safety investment into a visible trust signal that competes directly with the "is this real?" anxiety Shein and AliExpress create.

Finding #03mobile signalsMedium
Was
(mobile-web experience mirrors desktop layout with horizontal scroll carousels)
Problem

Turkish smartphone penetration exceeds 85%, but the mobile-web experience shrinks the desktop layout instead of redesigning for thumb-first navigation. Horizontal carousels require precise swipe gestures that are difficult on lower-end Android devices common in Turkey's price-sensitive market.

Fix
Replace horizontal carousels with a single-column vertical feed of product cards optimized for thumb scroll. Show price, delivery estimate, and rating on every card without tapping.
Why this works

A vertical-scroll feed matches the interaction pattern Turkish users already know from Instagram and TikTok. Thumb-scroll converts faster than precision-swipe on the mid-range Android devices that dominate the Turkish market.
