67/100
Score

The enterprise managed WordPress incumbent with genuine scale credentials and a mature security posture. The page leans heavily on "enterprise" and "performance" language without quantifying either — letting newer competitors like Kinsta claim the same adjectives at lower price points.

Highest-impact issue

WP Engine's moat is the combination of EverCache, automated threat detection, and a Genesis/headless framework ecosystem that agencies build on. That lock-in-via-tooling strategy is the real reason enterprise clients stay — but the landing page pitches "speed and security" generically instead of naming the proprietary stack that creates switching costs and value simultaneously.

Real founders, real fixes
We followed the Landing Doctors recommendations before relaunching ads and the difference was obvious. Better messaging, stronger CTA placement, and less visual clutter made the page convert much more effectively.

The audit helped us realize how confusing our messaging was for new visitors. Landing Doctors made the page feel simpler, cleaner, and far more credible. The improvements were small individually, but together they completely changed pe…

What this page does well

3 strengths
Genesis framework ecosystem gives agencies a development platform, not just hosting — genuine stickiness.
Automated daily backups with one-click restore addresses the disaster-recovery anxiety enterprise buyers carry.
SOC 2 compliance and threat-blocking are genuine enterprise security credentials, not marketing claims.

Findings (3)

Was → problem → fix → why

Each finding cites the live copy at audit time, names the conversion problem, proposes a specific rewrite, and explains why the rewrite works against the 12-dimension framework.

Finding #01value propCritical
Was
(generic "managed WordPress platform" hero with speed-and-security adjectives)
Problem

Every managed WordPress host from SiteGround to Kinsta to Cloudways now claims "fast, secure, managed." The phrase has zero differentiating power. WP Engine's actual advantages — proprietary caching layer, headless WordPress framework, and enterprise security certifications — go unnamed in the first viewport.

Fix
WordPress at enterprise scale. EverCache performance, SOC 2 security, and a headless framework your agency builds on — not just another managed host.
Why this works

Names three proprietary or certified advantages (EverCache, SOC 2, headless framework) that no commodity host can credibly claim. Reframes WP Engine from "expensive hosting" to "enterprise platform with hosting included."

Finding #02proofHigh-impact
Was
(performance claims — uptime percentage, page speed — without public benchmark or SLA detail)
Problem

Claiming high uptime without a public SLA or a status-page link is table-stakes marketing, not proof. Enterprise buyers need contractual SLAs and penalty clauses, not marketing percentages. The absence of a visible SLA at WP Engine's price point reads as evasion.

Fix
Lead with the SLA: "99.99% uptime SLA with service credits. Real-time status at status.wpengine.com."
Why this works

A contractual SLA with penalties is the trust signal enterprise procurement teams require. Marketing uptime claims without contractual backing are noise at this price tier.

Finding #03objectionsMedium
Was
(pricing tiers without clear migration or exit-path messaging)
Problem

Enterprise hosting is a long-term commitment. The page doesn't address migration in (onboarding complexity) or migration out (data portability, plugin compatibility). Both are top-three objections for enterprise procurement teams evaluating a multi-year vendor relationship.

Fix
Add: "Free automated migration from any host. Standard WordPress — export anytime, no proprietary lock-in on your content."
Why this works

Neutralizing both entry friction (free migration) and exit anxiety (standard WordPress export) removes the two objections that delay enterprise purchase decisions by quarters.
